Research
I balance the creativity of UX and UI design with the systematic work of research. Having focused my undergraduate degree in research psychology, I merge the methodical and precise structure of psych research with the more fast-paced and quick-results way of conducting UX research.
Meticulousness is key. A poorly structured user research study can yield misleading results.
Research Process
Start with your hypothesis
What do you predict will happen?
Create an abstract
Introduce your research, outline your reason for conducting, and include a high-level overview.
Outline your research method
Type up everything involved in the research process. The type of test, equipment used, number of participants. Length of time, how the results will be analyzed, any questionnaires/surveys/consent forms, directions given to participant, etc.
A reader should be able to read this section and replicate the study.
Share your results
Include a detailed outline of your results, analysis, and what it means. Include visual representations of data and any important media.
Discussion
Summarize your findings. Outline suggested changes, future steps, etc.
